1999 Isuzu Rodeo 2.2 L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought my Isuzu Rodeo 4 cylinder 2.2
and since it overheated I had my head
cleaned and resurfaced, new head gasket,
new timing belt, water pump, serpentine
belt, platinum sparkplug,  new head bolts,
radiator, and thermostat and when put back
together it started right away and idled
smooth and quietly for the first minute or
two then it began sputtering and idle got real
rough and it started making noise that didn't
sound good at all!  Please any suggestions
why it would idle this way, and where can I
find the VECI Emission Control Diagram on
my vehicle?
