Have a 94 chevy silverado while driving on freeway about 65 /70 miles seams like i put it in neutral didn't want to go then i lowered the gear and started to go but if you put it on drive it won't go

You have to put it on 1st then 2nd 3rd then
on drive it will run good but have to do it
manual change th filter oil its still the same

You might find a harness damaged that supplies the trans controls. The severity of any damage would affect how much of it needed repair. You need to run tests in the proper order. A smart gamble... remove the harness, pull it up where you can get at it to repair it. google for your vehicle, look at the repair looms offered. there can be one you could pick to install after looking at their photos. Or of course, mr. goodwrench can help and knows what to order after he completes the proper tests in the proper order. There was a lot of speculation and conflicting diagnoses available last time I went through this one. Guessing and slinging parts at it costs more money and time than mr. goodwrench.
