Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when the car is cold the ac works fine as long as i dont turn it off or kill the engine.  Once i restart the engine or turn the ac back on it blows hot air.  The clutch doesnt seem to engage.  Is it the compressor or could it be electical.

welllll for starters...u have more than 1 problem on your hands. how often do u use the ac??? what yr is it??? chances are it needs to be charged which means it needs more freon. its its full...its either the compressor or condensor...more than likely. the compressor is the motor to the ac. the condensor is what it uses to change it from warm air to cold air to put it easily. your clutch has nuttin to do with your ac. with that...its def your transmission. how many miles are on it??? again...what yr is it??? how many miles do u drive it??? how hard do u drive it??? chances are it needs a tramsmission service...which means draining...flushing...& refilling. it that wont work...ur tranny could be goin out.
