Fuel switch location

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Where is my fuel switch for a 92 Mercedes 300?

1 Answer

There’s a fuel pump really in the engine compartment by the firewall behind the glove box (passenger side). Probably a black plastic cover and a couple of control units in front of it. They all come out pretty easy. The fuel pump relay is a black box 2”w 1”d 3” h. If you pull it out you can jump the pump by jumping pins 5&7 If memory serves. Get a test light see which pin has power with key on. Put a jump wire in it it and touch each of the other pins. One will make the fuel pump buzz. No damage will be caused by touching the wrong ones. All pins are numbered but hard to see
