My steering is going in and out ... at times very hard to turn ... just had the return line replaced on thursday...was working fine until today ...was even fine all day then all of a sudden

Check the fluid level in the power steering pump. It may be low. Depending on what year your Grand Prix is it may be under recall for the upper steering column shaft. HTH. -Jim
