I haave a 1970 Firebird 400 Formula, it all of a sudden will not turn over, i took out the starter and had it checked, new battery, new battery cables and it will not even make a sound.
It's possible one of your wires insulation cracked or stripped contributing to a grounding issue. Check all your wiring, and harness's.
ignition switch is probablly worn out. or is it a 4 speed ? could be the neutral safety on the clutch. if it's an automatic make sure it's all the way in park. could be neutral safety on the tranny.
you didn't have to take the starter out to check it , why do all that work? you should check the nuetual safety . like trip65 said.
