emissions pass/on board diagnostics

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

wont pass emissions- map sensor/mass air flow code on diagnostics.  Cleaned parts, checked vacuum hoses- light still on.  should I replace the map sensor?  will the check engine light reset itself once problem is fixed?

..should replace it. it tends to fail after awhile. i think mine went out after 18 years.
