Temperature gage raises to hot.

When we are towing our travel trailer temperature is fine but when we get home to park it the temperature gauge goes up quite a bit. It does take about 5 minutes to get the trailer parked, a lot of going back and forward. This is a 2001 Dodge 3500 5.9 Diesel with 212,000 miles.
