Chrysler Pacifica little extra hot

Just noticed today my heat temp will
go up to the half way mark. It has
always stayed under neath that mark.
I noticed cause I started getting extra
heat smoke coming from engine. This
happens when I have stopped driving
like at a red light. Then once I
proceed, the heat gauge goes back
down to normal. It doesn’t smoke
every time or go up to half mark every
time. But enough to cause concern.
