After changing my engine air filter my 06 Sebring runs rough and goes into limp mode

After changing the air filter car makes a weird sound and on the freeway will
lose power and can't drive the speed limit

Is the check engine light on? Did you accidentally disconnect any wires?

You may need to replace the battery and/or alternator. Have them both tested but I do not know if that would have anything to do with your other problem. Also look for vacuum leaks and loose hoses.
