1979 GMC 350 just shut off wont restart. No spark

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As I was driving home last night the truck just shut off like you turned the key off.. No fire.. I have plenty of fuel and compression. No spark.. Replaced cap, rotor, and coil but no spark.. Only thing left that I can think of is the ECM in the distributor. Everything works with the key on lights, blinkers, back up lights, stereo, etc. Truck turns over fine .. Took off #1 plug wire put screwdriver in it and touched against frame and no spark.. HELP any ideas? Tired of spending $$$ don't need to spend just to figure out..
