Fuel not getting to the carb

Asked by GuruN1V9S Nov 03, 2019 at 12:46 PM about the Dodge D-Series

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do I trouble shoot my fuel system on a
dodge D150 w/318 motor and a new manual
fuel pump, new rebuilt carb

You installed a new mechanical fuel pump? Make sure the lever arm on the pump is against the cam that drives it.

Disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor. Crank the engine. With each revolution of the engine fuel should spurt out of the fuel line. If you can check the pressure, 6 to 8 PSI at each spurt is about normal. Hope that helps! Jim
