2005 Ford Focus - When I start my car it makes a loud vibrating noise, when I put it in reverse it seems to quiet down some. When I press the gas pedal it vibrates the car and is very loud. Does anyone know what this could be? I have been looking online and some people have been saying to replace the motor mounts. I took it to a couple different places and I keep getting different things so I am not sure what is right. 8 answers

I have a 2013 Ford focus SE HATCHBACK that has the recalls on the transmission, I took it to the local dealer as we have begun experiencing the shudder and loss of power and the dealer just called stating it is the actuators which of course are not under the recall and said it is going to cost $2,500 and that it may not fix the problems and may have to be brought back of the shudder isn't fixed. I don't have that kind of money laying around and do not know what to do or if they are trying to rip me off which to me is what it sounds like. HElp!!!!! 4 answers
