Why 96 camaro z28 want turn over have both new battery and alternator?
Run the shifter through all the gears a few times quickly. Then try to start it. If still nothing, try starting it in neutral. If it starts it's the neutral safety switch. If still nothing, get a hammer and hit the starter a few times. If it then starts the starter is bad. Switch on the headlights and try to start it. Do they dim, flicker badly or go out? If so, battery is dead or battery cable connections are bad. If they stay nice and bright, we're back to either the starter or neutral safety switch. HTH. -Jim
