Shelby is a special edition car designed by Carrol Shelby. Cobra is also a design developed by Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) Ford developed the Cobra badge and used it on a Mustang design. Booth have estetic and performance diferences.

FYI - A Shelby Cobra is a British AC that Shelby used to make the Cobra automobiles. It's a very light two-seater. What you have is a Mustang Shelby, and Ford made a lot of them. I'm sure your is authentic. But it's still a Mustang in Cobra trim.

The correct answer is a simple Google search away- Hey Google - "What year did the first Ford Mustang debut?" - 1964 Hey Google - "What year did the first Shelby Cobra debut?" - 1962 Ford has been using the Shelby name and Cobra badges for years as a marketing ploy to attract new buyers.
