Repair Questions

Asked by Feb 15, 2017 at 03:19 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it worth it to replace the front struts, inner tie rod and swayer link on my
Equinox? The mechanic suggested it but it was not one of main repairs, just
want to know if I should? I am planning a cross country drive, but I also don't
really have the extra 2,000. And don't know if putting it into this old car is
smart.

Since you're planning a cross country drive I'd do the inner tie rods and sway bar links. These are safety concerns. Unless the struts are really bad (like bottoming out) I would let them go for now. HTH. -Jim
