what motor oil is best

full synthetic - lasts longer for those that forget to change their oil regularly - and it (in my opinion) saved a bud a ton of money when he got an over heating warning and continued driving home!!! He was running full synthetic BUT HE WASN"T good at changing oil regularly nor even checking the dip stick when he gassed up! He called me over and the first thing I checked was rad level, then the oil level. Rad was a bit low (a cup or so) but his oil was not even showing on the dip stick. Turned out he hadn't changed the oil in over a year and hadn't checked dip stick either. I put in 4 litres ,looked for obvious leaks - ran for a bit then checked again for leaks. Everything good and no overheating so since we weren't into a major engine repair he changed oil and filter and he's away. SO I SWEAR FULL SYNTHETIC SAVED HIS BUTT. use SAE according to owner's manual and any brand name you like.
