I do not have an exact procedure, but GM typically makes you work to get them out through a series of panels and fasteners. Start by looking around the perimeter of any dash panels that are attached to the driver's side of the dash. Then look up from the bottom edge and locate screws that hold the bottom edges in place. Removing these fasteners will get you clear of the dress panels and expose other fasteners that are holding the gauge clusters in place. Once you have the clusters out, then the gauges will typically be just screwed onto the cluster faces. Good luck, a 72 GP is a great looking car. They really went downhill after that with the body changes that followed.

best way is to take drivers bucket seat out so you can lay on back. will have to remove some ac vents and then unplug and unbolt cluster along with speedometer cable and finesse clust out. Once it is out you can disassemble cluster to get gauges out.
