Green fluid leak in a 1969 Pontiac Firebird

Asked by Apr 27, 2016 at 12:03 PM about the 1969 Pontiac Firebird

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi! Would a green fluid leak in a 69 Pontiac Firebird be caused by a leak in an
antifreeze hose? Are there any other possible causes? It is leaking in two
places underneath the front of the car. My mechanic wants to look at it, and
change parts, but does changing any hoses/etc or adding parts in an antique
car devalue it? Everything in this Firebird is original. Also, I am just beginning
to learn about this car, so forgive the slight lack of knowledge at the moment!:)
Thank you!

Most probably a hose, could also be the water pump or radiator. Changing a hose won't devalue the car.
