once a window is broken and the anti-theft system activated and the starter is locked out and the power supply to it interrupted , how do you reset the computer to allow the car to start again for a 1989 Audi model 80 ?

Most cases it is as simple as disconnecting the battery for 10-15 seconds and reconnecting.
