What's the difference between to european and American

I am purchasing a 1967 European vw beetle. I pick it up this weekend 9/29. I wanted to
know if anyone can tell me what is going to be the differences on the European models.

As far as I know there is no difference they just manufactured it some place else and the emmisions could be different. But back in 1967 there was not alot of emission stuff then. I had a 1969 that was build in germany but all the parts were the same

My fauld Germany is the same as Eurpean. But I have had 3 vw beetles and have never found any difference in the engines

I had a 1966 1300 Beetle which I imported from Germany. There was no difference ever in parts, except that the 1966 still had a 6 Volt system.

The European VW has an open tray or shelf under the glove box that the US models don't have. Fossilized2

My 1962 Beetle has a kilometer speedo and the ignition switch is in the steering column...Euro Bug

I believe the cars not intended for sale in US . Don't have DOT exterior light. The head lights are not sealed beams like US cars.
