1961 Beetle

Asked by Apr 01, 2016 at 01:16 PM about the 1961 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I now own my Dad's 1961 VW Beetle, all original survivor, garaged its whole
life, in very good condition (some patina on chrome parts), just turned 50,000
miles, engine is clean, one family owned.  What price should I ask for the car?

Why sell your Dad's car? KEEP IT! But I would guess a little higher, maybe $8500-$12000 depending if it is running and driving just fine. But carland is right, all in what a buyer will pay you.

Please contact me about your Dad's Beetle, I'm very interested.

Sold car to man in Dubai UAE. Bugs are the rage there now.

Can you please send me photos of the car, I run a Preservation website unique in the world that features VW's only that are 100% original and your Dad's car was a perfect example. If you have 10 to 20 original photos of the car and your Dad's story with the car. Many Thanks!
