2007-2008 Jeep Wrangler

Asked by Lilyanna Jan 03, 2017 at 01:21 AM about the 2007 Jeep Wrangler

Question type: General

I'm a college student and I have the option
of getting my dream car which is a
Wrangler. My family growing up was a big
Jeep family but that was years ago and
they don't have Jeeps as toys now and
don't know much about them anymore but
they understand my want to drive a Jeep. I
know They are pricey but we've found
some great deals on 07 and 08 unlimited
wranglers. We usually buy brand new cars
or ones with low mileage so it's a set back
for us. Just because the Jeep is that much
older does it mean it's bad and even if it
does have higher mileage. Would you see
this car fit for a college student? I don't
usually take lengthy trips I maybe go about
2 hours away a few times a year and my
college town is all walking distance so I'm
not really constantly in my car. We've read
to make sure the previous owner didn't
abuse the 4WD with off road activities. But
everyone we know says the engines are
costly and have issues all the time but
we've yet to stumble upon reviews about
engine issues in 07s and 08s from actually
owners. We know that you have to keep up
with the oil well. But we really just needed
basic opinions on purchasing a car this old
and if it would be worth it if it's cared for
properly.

I would get a 20th Century Wrangler- one that is clean and intact if you can find one- be aware, tho, that in winter weather, if you get a Jeep sideways, it WILL flip- not the vehicle I would want my kid in-
