The most common cause of oil pressure loss is excessive bearing clearance in the engine, but have seen other problems with the bypass sticking and dumping pressure or the oil pump just quits working, you may want to put a manual gauge on it just to make sure you have a pressure problem and not a sender or gauge problem.
