Lincoln LS etc safe mode

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the throttle position
sensor and it ran good for bout a
hour or so, then it went rite back
into etc safe mode!! What would
be the reason for it to go back into
etc safe mode??

You may have some internal broken wires at the plugin for the throttle positioning sensor. May have to replace the plugin and have the computer reset.

Is the check engine light on? If it is on, did you have the car scanned for trouble codes?

Engine light is still on even though car now runs fine, after going into fail safe mode. What next?

Mine is in failsafe mode accutrack is on check engine light parking brake abs etc no speedometer I had to replace the abs module after it actually caught on fire going to try replacing the coils maybe need help fast
