how do i remove the inside rear side panels on a 2003 Chrysler town and country van? I think i need to replace the gears for the lift gate on the left rear side.

On my  2003 chrysler town and country LXI van the remote rear hatch will not
open useing the Button in the van or my hand held remote. I can hear the
motor running but the Rear hatch wont open. I am thinking the gears are bad.

the floor panel needs to come off in order for you to get leverage to get the side panels off that will come off with a flat screwdriver the sides pull off with force the top "fins" come off easier than the rest may need to replace some Christmas tree retaining pins. I have a 2002 Chrysler t&c replaced the rear blower resistor you can email if you need more detailed info crumbob47@gmail.com

Thank you answer helped alot. I think i found the problem with the lift gate, The accucator I think is bad. The motor works and the gears are all fine. Went Dn to Dodge parts house and ordered one at 165.00. Hope it fixes the prob. Thank you
