Anti theft device
How can reset the anti theft device in my
town and country without going to the
dealership and paying hundreds
You can't. Sorry. -Jim
That depends on what triggered it, if you have removed the battery then no you have to go,to the dealer and have it reflashed, if you did not remove the battery, then try this: lock all the doors except the drivers from the inside manually, do not use power locks, exit the car with key in hand, close and lock the drivers door with the key, look at the dome lights and watch them go out then wait at least 1 minute, then unlock the drivers door, stick key in ignition and see if it will start. If it doesn't work or the dome lights don't go out then it is possible that there is a switch failure in one or more of the doors and that can be very hard too find as they are inside the doors themselves. So then you will need to find someone that is familiar with this system but it does not need to be a dealer..
Try taking the battery out, check it free at autozone. It just worked for me. The dealer equipped batteries only last 3 years
