brake lights switch?

Asked by Oct 20, 2009 at 08:36 PM about the 1989 Toyota MR2

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a beauty of a Toyota MR2 '89. Suddenly, the brake lights are turning on/off at random & i've been told the brake light switch is obsolete and the part can't be found. Anybody out there have a suggestion about this problem?

This is most likely to be easier said than done, I would try to find a fabricate a brake switch to put in the place of the obsolete part or try to visit parts recycling yard. using these websites may help you. Perhaps you could also search for MR2 enthusaist group for other suggestions. I wish you the best of luck.
