I have a 22re and would like to know if it would be hard to put it in a 83 celica??
Hello, I believe the 22-RE was the standard engine on the 1983 Celica (the "E" got added to the 22-R to signify the new, fuel-injected engines). The only other engine available was the 2S-G 2.0L. This engine was carburated, so it might make the changeout a little tougher. Best of luck! CarGrrl
