The 2003 Toyota Celica was available only as a hatchback, which came as a GT or sportier GT-S. The GT came with a 1.8 liter, 140 horsepower engine. The sportier GT-S, which had distinctive exterior and interior styling, came with a 1.8-liter, 180 horsepower engine. This generation was also the first Celica to come available with a six-speed manual transmission. The GT engine got about 27/34 mpg, and the GT-S engine got about 23/30 mpg.
Drivers love the way the 2003 Celica looks. Many appreciate that they can get a reliable Toyota in a sports car package. Many drivers find the interior to be too small, and others find that there is poor visibility out the rear window.

The exterior is sporty looking and the interior is very spacious for being such a small car. The gas mileage is outstanding with 29 mpg city. The car is not the fastest in the world but it has enough to pass people however the handling is superb making the car very fun to drive.
This is a 2003 Toyota Celica GT-S. This car gets 30 mpg, has a 6 spd., handling is great, when it hits 6000 RPM it really goes. For the money I don't know how you could find a car that is more fun to drive.
One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Sold it with 275,000 miles, minimal work done to it. Extremely reliable car, fun to drive with a great look!
Performance - Handles great, really tight cornering. Could use more power, especially down low. Quality - Toyota, that's all you need to know. Appearance - 18"'s, CF hood, TRD wing and kit. gets glances. Cost of ownership - minimal maintenance. Gas mileage is as good as you can expect from a 1.8L engine. Fun factor - extreme.
