I have a 1999 Toyota Camry. The dealer told me the bushings were completely worn out and needed to be replaced along with the arm.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was told that the arm that holds the bushings is all sold as one piece and to replace the worn out bushings and arm would be $1600. Really? Please advise. Thank you!

I have never heard of any arm costing that much unless your talking a very big ship. Just what arm are they wanting to replace for that rediclious amounts of money. I am sure you would get a much better price at an independent shop.

A control arm is around $50 x 2 = $100

Clarification. Are these parts for the FRONT suspension?? The REAR suspension? You might consider asking for a LIST of parts that need replacing.

And by law any replaced parts-- the damaged ones-- upon your demand- must be returned to you as proof that they were replaced
