do you check the credit?
CarGurus does not participate in negotiations on the listings, that is strictly between you and the seller. But most dealers check your credit if you try to finance. Note I say most.. there are some will let you drive away without a check if you have plenty of ID and a job. Even the ones who advertise "We finance anyone!!!" usually check, and your score dictates the interest. A 2005 Corolla will go for a good $6k to $9K depending on trim, (CE, LE, S, even XRS High performance in '05 is available) mileage, etc. so the more you have to put down the better off you are and more likely drive it home. Just LOOK AT THE CONTRACT and be sure you are not getting screwed for 40% interest. (an '05 Corolla is a very good choice by the way)
