Transmission problems

Asked by Aug 22, 2012 at 01:07 PM about the 2006 Ford Five Hundred

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My transmission pauses before going into gear. I had the auto shop look at it they said that the motormounts are broken and I need a 2000 dollar kit to fix the transmission. This car only has 85,000 miles. And I replaced the Steering gear last month. Does Ford admit that this transmission is a manufacture defect?

Replace the motor mounts first, see if that fixes your issue before doing the trans. I assume you get the hesitation when your on the accelerator.
