My 68 chevelle has a big block with a 400 turbo transmison 2500 torque converter and a holly dual pumper runs great in park when I put it into gear it will die out unless I hold the brake and push the gas a little
Recheck your air fuel mixtures on the carb and for vacuum leaks, if that all checks then it sounds like your 2500 rpm stall converter is no longer 2500.
All new lines no leaks fuel mixture is good, one other thing I forgot to mention I have a comp cam thumper, not sure what you mean when you say no longer 2500
Your torque converter is no longer stalling at 2500 RPM.
You stated a thumper cam, what is the recommended idle speed for the cam?
I will have to check it not sure how I just bought and put it in I've been trying to figure it out that new and carburetor
