2000 mercury villager vibrates at around 70. What are the possible reasons?

Rotate and balance tires. That's the least expensive attempt at solving. If the tread wear indicator bar is showing, or put a penny in the deepest part of the tread, if you can see the top of Lincoln's head buy new tires.
