2003 mercury sable air condition/heater buttons dont work

2003 mercury sable heater /air conditions buttons not working. The heater /air
conditiner works...but the buttons dont work so i can set the temperature...i can
tuen the unit off and on...that is all the control i have.

Sounds like you lost the vacuum source for the heater controls. Check for any vacuum line that may have broken ai the firewall, if all is good there then you need to start disassembling the heater panel to get the control unit and vacuum lines and start checking for cracked, split or disconnected hoses, and these can go all the way to the servos on the heater box.
