I have a 2000 Mazda 626 with a little over 100,000 miles. when you start it, it revs really high, then after about 5 seconds, slows down and goes up and down a few times. when you drive it it runs great. No check engine light etc. any suggestions? thanks

Only revs up when it is idling, after running it slows down, but when driving runs with no problem

Clean the throttle body and IAC and see if that helps.
