Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Chrysler 200, I drove it yesterday and
everything was fine. I got up this morning and
when I started it it was stuck in neutral. The service
brake light is on also and I know my brakes are
good. I don't know how it went from park to neutral
by itself. Does anyone know what the problem
might be or how to fix it?

I'm having the same problem. Did you find out what was wrong?

The gear knob went out. I had to have the dealership fix it and it wasn't covered under the warranty.

My car is stuck in neutral too. I drove it to work today and when I got off and I tried to crank it up it was stuck neutral. If it's not covered in the warranty how much did they charge you to fix it

did any one figure out what was the resolution?

I wonder if I could fix it stuck with neutral as well

Mine was not covered under warranty also. I had to have the computer reprogrammed for $450. I went to MasterTech

I fixed mine by re flashing the TCM and re programming it.

My 2015 Chrysler drove fine yesterday and last night, and when I was leaving my second job this morning my car wounld'nt start and it was in neutral. What can I do.

Hello I have the same exact problem, my car died out when I got jumped it was a neutral. Anybody have any suggestions please let me know thank you

Same happened with me, I had to flash the TCM with latest firmeware, then restore proxi. You will need to have a dealer or authorized tech to do it, or you may do it but you will have to buy the equipment which is over $1000.

I have a 2016 Chrysler Sport and my shifter service came on and my car stalled and would not get out of the drive gear and would not move. This happened in traffic. Dealership quoted $525 to replace the shifter. They advised this is an uncommon occurrence which I find hard to believe since I have read all the reviews on this.
