Shorted something out

My brother was replacing head liner and accidentally shorted out the visor connector causing a
series of problems. Now the locks will lock but not unlock unless the car is on. Also the radio
along with the gauges on the dash won't work either. Completely puzzled, not sure where to
start..

Check the fuse box, you might have blew a fuse. Also , remove the negative battery cable terminal before doing any work involving wiring on your car for reasons such as this.
