What is causing my 2011 Dodge Journey SE (FWD) to only idle, even when I push on the gas pedal?

I just changed out my battery now the throttle control light has come on and my vehicle
will only idle. I can push on the gas pedal and nothing happens it just idles.

Sounds Like it lost all of the presets in the ECM, possibly a reflash at the dealer will fix it. They make a little keep alive unit that plugs into the power ports and it uses a 9 volt battery, just enough to keep presets alive when a battery is disconnected. Might be worth looking into.

I would check all of the fuses in the main power center, if they all check good then try disconnecting a battery cable, turn on the headlight switch wait at least 3 minutes, turn off the headlight switch, reconnect the battery cable start engine and see if it will work, if it doesn't then it will have to go to the dealer for a reflash, there may also be a programming update for your vehicle that will be done when it is reflashed.
