it's quite simple. Use a screw driver to pry open the pod, then simply take out the old batter and put in the new one. The battery is a 3 volt CR2032. you can get it at any electronic store. Put the pod back together and put your key in the ignition, turn it to ACC and hold the unlock button until your blinkers flash twice. congratulations you changed and reset your remote lock.

This is my question. I installed the battery, then saw what to do after installation. I got in the car, turned ignition to acc, pressed remote button, like suggested. (* note the driver side door was open, held button in waiting for the flashers to blink twice. But the alarm engaged and was hard to turn off. Also I have two remotes and seems like two alarms. I bought the car used. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated Thank you Mary J.
