expedition problem

My 1997 expedition starts to act up when it
rains below the driving wheel where the
fuse box is it starts to smoke and sounds
like something is burning then shuts down
somebody know what it is?

Sounds like you have a hole in the inner fender under the power distribution box, most likely it has already ruined the box, but you will have to get under there to find out for sure, make sure you disconnect the battery before starting this project or you could short out the whole electrical system and burn it to the ground. HTH


That body style is known for the drivers lower windshield to leak at the corner, look at the ebrake housing at the pedal for signs of rust to indicate that it is leaking.
