One side blowing hot air and the other side
blowing cold air

If the vehicle has a split mode HVAC system, that means that passenger can say thier confor level different from the drivers side, you could have a jammed blend door or failed servo motor, or the system needs a complete reset. Believe me this is not something you can tackle yourself, find a good shop that has the equipment to properly diagnosis your system or you could be spending a lot more than you should. HTH
