After driving my 1996 gmc sierra about 25 miles and letting it set for about a half hour when I start it and let the clutch out to start moving it feels like the brakes are on or something, it hardly wants to move but after it gets moving it runs and shifts ok.

Have a free brake check completed if you suspect you have an issue. It is not normal.
