my 2000 gmc sierra runs good and has no problems in the city. The Only problem it has is when it gets on the highway, it will only go up to 60mph and 65 would be forcing it .. What might it be ???
What are the RPM's at 60?
If that is 4000 RPM then, either you have lost top gear with the overdrive in the tranny or you have some really low gears in the final drive.
I think rpm @60 should be around 2100 ish.
Its whenever im accelerating to 60mph that it starts to feel like its being forced but it only does it every so often ,not all the time
Still could be a tranny problem due to the fact the RPM's are so high at cruse of 60 MPH. My Yukon only turns 1850 RPM at 70 MPH.
I guess ill have to get the tranny checked out then , thanks so much for the help .
