Why wont my ramcharger start

Asked by Nov 20, 2017 at 05:07 AM about the 1992 Dodge Ramcharger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got my ramcharger last year when it was
passed down from my grandfather when he
passed. I was driving down the road and
pushed in the cigarette lighter and my whole
truck shut off. It has power to everything
besides the stereo, cigarette lighter and
ignition. It was raining that day. And my
truck hasn't run since. It means the most to
me and I just want my baby fixed. Help me!
Thank you in advance

check all fuses ans fusible links , in the cabin and under the hood , the horn and brake lights probably don't work either eh ? ? the cig. lighter may have had something to do with it , so have a few fuses if you find the problem

you may want to look at the frame and see how rotted it is before dumping a bunch of money into it in the future FYI

Might be tied in to ignition wire harness and shorted out . Chasing electrical is a nightmare.
