I have a 98 Dakota with the 318 engine, with a couple different mods. The steering wheel has play in it and I did replace everything but the steering box. Any suggestions?

Anything other then replacing the steering gear box itself?

is it 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive. it could be the idler arm and pitment arm or it could be the steering gear box.

it could also be balljoints and wheels. if you have wheels with the wrong offset, your balljoints will wear really quick and then get a loose steering wheel and they will pop out regardless of 2x2 or 4x4
