engine issue

Asked by Mar 08, 2019 at 07:03 AM about the 2004 Dodge Intrepid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Intrepid that will at speed will start missing and then die. If I let it set for about five minutes it will re-start and run ok. Recently had some work done on it and my dealer mentioned getting some "funny" readings regarding fuel mixture wanting to get too lean. Could this be a computer problem or might it be something else. It also in the past has shown a code for low barometric pressure.

There are so many things this could be that you need to at least have codes read. Better to have a mechanic diagnose this to uncover the real cause of the misfire, might be as simple as a failed wheel speed sensor, but this could ruin the catalytic converter.
