Loun squeeling noise from engine, replaced, ps, alt, water pump, and distributor. noise still there, definetly sounds like its coming from the distributor area. Any ideas?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I had the engine out around the first of the year I replaced all the things in the question including the oil pump. ruled out the ps, alt, water pump by running the engine without the belts. I put a different distributor in and the noise is still there. I'm a little lost at this point, any help would be great.

Is it the inline six or a V8? The inline six can and will seize a rocker arm on the pedistal. causing loud oscillating squealing.
