Define everything you can think of. Did he check for spark and fuel? Ignition timing?

New coil, new carburetor, new spark plugs, new ignition switch, wires under distributor cap, he put a wire from the battery to the coil but still no spark. We're kinda lost on what else to do...

Spray a little starting fluid down the carburetor. It should run for a few seconds on that. If so it's a fuel problem. Remove the fuel line from the carburetor and crank the engine. Gasoline should spurt out of the fuel line in rhythmic bursts as the engine cranks over. If not, the fuel pump is bad or there's a clogged fuel line. If it won't run on the starting fluid you either have no spark or the engine has jumped timing. Replace the points and condenser if still using the conventional distributor. Use a matchbook cover to adjust the points. But if you have spark and fuel and it still won't run it's time to do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing. Hope that helps! Jim

How about the cap, rotor, points and ignition timing?
